Export from Cadwork
In this tutorial, you will learn best practices to export a 3D model from Cadwork for use in cmBuilder.

Instructions
- Show only the elements to be exported. Focus on the main structural elements and, if possible, hide the connections, fasteners and small parts.
- Check the boxes of the IFC types so the elements will be classified in cmBuilder.
- Click on Activate Attribute > Elements by Attribute > BIM > IFC Type
- Optional: Assign IFC types to the elements without this attribute.
- Select elements and click on Modify > BIM > IFC Typ
- Select elements and click on Modify > BIM > IFC Typ
- Export the file using IFC 2x3 Schema
- Click on Export > Files > IFC and choose IFC 2x3 from the drop down menu
- Click on Export > Files > IFC and choose IFC 2x3 from the drop down menu
