This page describes the initial recommended and required configuration for new cmBuilder user accounts. This page is intended for typical users of cmBuilder. For an equivalent guide for administrators, please see our user guide section titled Setup Your Account [ADMIN]. Â
To get up and running with cmBuilder, let’s start by setting up your account and configuring some basic options:

Create your Account
If your organization already has a cmBuilder account, ask your Company Admins to invite you to join. You will receive an invite via email. Here's how to get started:

Check Your Email: Look for an invitation email from cmBuilder in your inbox.

Open the Invitation: The email will contain a link to create your personal cmBuilder account.

Create Your Account: Click on the link and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account. This will include creating a password.

Access Your Organization's Workspace: Once your account is set up, you'll have access to your organization's Company Workspace, where you can start collaborating on projects and scenarios.
Company User Roles
cmBuilder uses roles to manage permissions for users at both the company and project levels.
Company Admins can assign, manage, and customize roles from within the Company Settings.

Single Sign-On (SSO)
cmBuilder provides Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality for Premium and Enterprise accounts to access the app through a single authentication source. Ask your cmBuilder Administrator for more information.
Invite Teammates and External Stakeholders
(If you're cmBuilder company role is not Manager or Admin, you can skip this step)
All cmBuilder subscription plans include unlimited users so that working with your team is never a problem!Â
To add new users, send them an email invitation from the Company Settings > Users page. To learn more, see Invite Users. To organize users into teams, see Teams for detailed instructions.
Customize User Settings
cmBuilder allows you to customize multiple aspects of the user experience at the company and user levels.
User Settings can be access and changed by clicking your initials in the upper right corner of the screen, then selecting User Settings. These settings will override the company and project level settings. From User Settings you can customize your time-date formats.

Integrations
Integrations can be setup by your company's cmBuilder Admin. See below all cmBuilder integrations:
Procore
The Procore integration allows users to access project data directly within cmBuilder, including projects and user permissions. For more details refer to the Procore Integration guide.
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
The ACC integration allows users to upload and sync 3D models directly into cmBuilder. For more details refer to the ACC Integration guide.

Optimize Performance
cmBuilder is a web-based platform that relies on both your internet connection and your computer's system specifications—especially graphics capabilities—to deliver optimal performance. To ensure optimal performance while using cmBuilder, we STRONGLY URGE that you adjust your browser's GPU settings by following the instructions in Browser GPU Settings.
