This guide covers how to use the Animate/Highlight tool to color-code Massing storeys in 🔗Presentation Mode. Available animation type include New constriction or Demolition which are automatically applied while viewing the presentation at the start or end milestone -depending on whether the element is added-to or removed-from the site plan as defined by the project schedule. This feature makes it abundantly clear during a presentation, which massing elements are appear or disappearing.
How to Use Animate/Highlight
💡Note: Before applying Animate/Highlight visuals to a Massing storey, it is recommend that you ensure the elements are sequenced by assigning the correct start and end Milestones.
- From the Scenario Tree, or 3D select the Massing storey(s) you want to animate.
- Open the storey's side sheet by double-clicking it or right-clicking (1) it and choosing Edit Massing Element (2).
- Click the Animate/Highlight button (3) on the Massing Element's side-sheet.
- Choose an Animation Type by selecting it from the drop down (4). There are 3 options:
- New Construction: Use this option to visualize additive processes, like a concrete pour or an installation.
- Demolition: Use this option to visualize subtractive processes, like a demolition or removal.
- None: the default setting, no visualization is applied
- Set a Highlight Color. Highlight colors are set automatically based on animation type (green for new construction, red for demolition), however users can change the color by clicking the colored square (5) and setting a custom color. The color will be applied to the Massing Elements when they appear/disappear during the presentation.
- Click Done (6) after making your selection. Note that your selections are automatically saved as soon as they are set, whether or not you click Done.
- Switch to presentation mode and click play to view the highlight animation.
