9.1 Minimum Distance

Use the Measure Minimum Distance tool to measure the shortest distance between the selected surfaces of two objects. The measurement is displayed directly in the Project, allowing you to quickly verify clearances and spacing.

💡 Note: You can create multiple minimum distance measurements before exiting the tool.

Measure the Minimum Distance

To measure the minimum distance between two objects:

1. Click Measure (1) from the toolbar, then select Measure Min. Distance (2).
2. Select the first object's surface.
3. Select the second object's surface.
4. Review the displayed minimum distance measurement.
5. Click Clear All (3) to remove all visible measurements.

Tips & Tricks:

• It is possible to take multiple measurements at once.
• Click the ESC key to exit the tool, and measure distance to continue taking measurements.
• From the Measure tool, click Clear All to delete all visible measurements.
