Available with the Following Subscriptions: All Subscriptions
Available for the Following Company Roles: Admin, Manager
All of your company’s Projects are listed on the home page, making them easy to find and manage. Access to and permissions within a Project can be customized byway of Project and Company roles. Every Project is built on a 3D map tile selected during setup. Within a single Project, you can create multiple Scenarios—each one using the same 3D map tile as its foundation.
Projects are categorized into either the Active or Archived tab; Active Projects can be edited, while Archived Projects can only be viewed. There is a limit to the number of Projects that are Active Projects depending on your subscription type.
1. Create Project
From the home page, click the Create Project button (1) in the top left. A pop-up will appear where you will need to specify Project Name (2), Project Status (3), Project type (4), and optionally a cover image (5). The above can all be changed at a later stage if required. Click the "Next: Setup 3D Map" button (6) to continue.
💡Note: To create a Project, you must have space for at least one more active project.
💡Note: Projects can only be created by users assigned either the Admin or Manager company role.
2. Define the map tile size
In the search bar, found in the top right corner, enter the project address or an address nearby, alternatively you may provide coordinates. Choose from the results, or hit enter and the map boundary preview will update. Right-click and drag on the map (1) to reposition the center of the map tile. Click and drag on the corner handles (2) to adjust the map to the desired size (allowed range: 100 m / 328 ft - 5000 m / 3 miles). Preset maps sizes are also available on the right (3), the sizes offered are:

Click "Generate 3D Map" (4) to move on to map tile Terrain Settings.
3. Set Terrain Mode
There are three map modes to choose from: Topographic, Flat, Google 3D Tiles. You can explore the differences of each during this stage via 3D navigation controls. You may zoom, rotate and pan to inspect the map tile in 3D.
-
Topographic maps are generated using Mapbox.
- The elevation at any point on a topographic surface is an approximate elevation.
- Neighboring buildings will appear as white blocks known as Surrounding Massings.
- Ensure the map thickness is greater than the depth of the deepest excavation expected.
-
Flat maps are generated using Mapbox.
- The elevation at any point will be zero (sea level). You can change this by setting the desired ground elevation.
- Neighboring buildings will appear as white blocks known as Surrounding Massings.
- Ensure map thickness is greater than the depth of the deepest excavation expected.
-
Google 3D Tiles using the Google integration *An Admin must first activate Google Integration*
- Double click a point on the map to change the center point, use the slider to adjust the size.
- Note: Google 3D Tiles do not allow terrain customizations. Excavation operations are allowed.
- Credit for use of Google data can be automatically attributed to Google via Attribution upon export.
- Click "Apply and Create Scenario" to create the Project. You will be taken into the first Scenario.
4. Review and Update
After performing the above steps, you will be taken to a new Scenario. Before beginning any work, review the Map. If the location, size, or terrain of the map requires changes, ensure you make them prior to starting work, as much as possible.
