Summary

  • Centrally store uploaded project files accessible across scenarios
  • Independently manage building model files per scenario, where adding or removing a building model file will not affect other scenarios
  • Access the Documents page from the Project left side menu

Import 3D Building Models

There are two methods of importing building model files to a scenario:

  1. Upload to Documents and then add from within the scenario
  2. Upload a new file from within the scenario

1. Import from Documents

    • Upload model files to the Documents page, shown above
    • Once stored in documents, the model files can be accessed and imported into any scenario
    • Open the scenario
      • Go to Buildings, followed by Imported Models
      • Click Browse Existing 3D Models
      • Select the appropriate model from the stored files and then click Upload

2. Import new file

  • From within Scenario
    • Go to Buildings, followed by Imported Models
    • Click Upload File and browse (Open) from local files
  • The file is added to Documents, and hence accessible to other scenarios, but only active in that scenario unless manually added in another scenario

File Management

To archive models:

  • Archive models from within Documents; however, the model will remain in existing scenarios
  • To remove from the scenario as well, use Remove from scenario

To remove models from a scenario:

  • Click the three dots on the model card
    • Select Remove from scenario
  • This will disable the model in that particular scenario; but remain active in both documents and other scenarios (if it is used)
  • As mentioned in the pop-up below, this will also lose the sequencing of this scenario
