10.3 Export Captured View Image

The Capture View feature in cmBuilder exports a high quality image of the Scenario "as-seen" on screen at the current time. It is an alternative to manually capturing a screenshot using the snipping tool, snag-it or something similar, all of which capture a lower quality image, determined by your screen resolution. For Premium and Enterprise subscriptions, it also allows for enhancing the image with AI.  

How to use Capture View

To use Capture View, first orient you 3D view to a position where everything you wish to include in the image is within frame - consider hiding the Scenario Tree (1). Click the blue Export/Share button (2) in the upper right hand corner of a Scenario. From the side panel that appears click Capture View button (3), a pop up will appear titled Export current view. 

1. Select a file type (1), either PNG (Recommended) or PDF (Legacy)
2. For PNG exports, set the image quality using the slider (2), 4k is recommended. 
3. Click the Export button (3) to launch the download. 
4. Users with a Premium or Enterprise subscription will also see the Enhance with AI (4) button. For more information visit our Enhance with AI user guide article.
