Creating Arrows on Topographic Maps

Sticking your head in the sand

If you have used our Arrow resource on a topographic map, you may have noticed the head of the arrow sticking into the ground, making it hard to communicate directions, and looking ugly.

Work-around - Use labels

A popular work-around is to use a label with a transparent background, and pasting this arrow symbol (← or →) in the textbox several times with spaces in-between to create an arrow path (and project on terrain).
