Available with the Following Subscriptions: All Subscriptions
Available for the Following Roles: All Roles

Site Plan Multiplayer mode allows multiple users to access the same Scenario at the same time. A Scenario can have one Editor, multiple Partial Editors, and multiple Viewers.

Users can view live updates as others work in the Scenario. Depending on their current mode, users may also edit supported objects or follow another user’s viewing perspective.

In this article, we cover:

💡Note: Editing together (Partial-editing mode) is in beta and actively evolving. While you may notice some limitations, we are continuously improving the experience. Please join our Community Forum to share feedback, add requests, and see updates.

Live Site Plan Sharing

Live Site Plan Sharing allows users to view updates in real time within a Scenario, edit supported objects when available, and observe how others are working in the site plan.

Users can:

  • See which users are currently present in the Scenario site plan at the top of the viewer.
  • Hover over a user’s initials to view their current mode.
  • See changes as they are made on the site plan.
  • Follow another user’s viewing perspective.

A user's available actions depend on their current mode:

  • Editing (Editor): Access full editing functions for the Scenario. Only one user can be in Editing mode at a time.
  • Partial Editing (Partial Editor): Edit supported objects in the Scenario.
  • Viewing (Viewer): View the Scenario and follow other users, but cannot access editing functions.

To switch your mode:

  1. Click the mode menu in the top-right area of the viewer.
  2. Select an available mode.
  3. If another user is currently in Editing mode, Editing will not be available until that user switches to Partial Editing or Viewing.

View Another User's Perspective

Users can observe another user’s actions in real time by following their view within the site plan.

To view another user’s perspective:

  1. Click the user’s icon (1) to start observing.
  2. A pop-up message and a colored viewer border (2) will indicate that you are observing that user’s perspective.
  3. Watch as the user navigates the site and milestones:
    • The Editor’s selected objects will be highlighted on the site plan.
    • Changes will be shown as they are made on the site plan.
  4. Click the close button (3) on the pop-up to exit follow view.

Editing Together (Beta)

Partial Editing allows multiple users to continue editing supported objects in the same Scenario while another user is already in Editing mode.

If another user is already in Editing mode when you open the Scenario, you will enter Partial Editing mode automatically.

Currently the following object types are available for editing by Partial Editors:

  • Zones
Support for additional object types will be added over time.

When using Partial Editing:

  • Supported object types can be edited in real time.
  • Partial Editors may only access edit capabilities for object types that support Partial Editing.
  • If another user is editing the same item, both (Partial/full) Editors' initials may appear in the editing flow, such as at the top of the side sheet.
  • Users in Editing mode and Partial Editing mode can work in the same Scenario simultaneously.
💡 Note: User initials indicators help you identify when another user is working on the same object. We recommend avoiding simultaneous editing the same object to prevent conflicts.
  1. Hover over the user initials (1) to see who else is currently editing the object.
  2. A tooltip (2) will display the user’s name.

💡 Notes:
  • Users in Viewing mode cannot see or access edit functions. However, they will see changes on the site plan.
  • Only one user can be in Editing mode at a time.
  • Multiple users can be in Partial Editing mode at the same time, but can only edit supported object types.
