Available with the Following Subscriptions: All Subscriptions
Available for the Following Roles: All Roles

Editing access in cmBuilder is controlled by user permissions and the mode through which the user accesses the Scenario. Users can switch between Editing Mode, Partial Editing Mode, and Viewing Mode to either review or modify the site plan. When multiple users are working on the same Scenario, only one user can be in Editing Mode at a time. Other users with edit permission can use Partial Editing Mode to edit supported object types.

In the article, we cover:

Viewing Mode

Viewing Mode is used to review and navigate the site plan without making any changes. User can make measurements, create comments, explore the Scenario tree and Project Schedule while in view mode.

  • This mode grants users limited access to review tools, milestones and basic navigation tools.

💡 Note: You cannot make any changes to the site plan while in Viewing Mode.
